hello friends!
in case you’re wondering whats up with this entry’s title, its actually the “words” that one of the kids i worked with would say during therapy sessions. it might sound cute and funny, but on second thoughts, it is really pitiful.
ANYWAYSSS..
from what i know, many, in fact all of you are like LOST when it comes to my current musings. ok not musings..endeavor? venture? job? ok i cant think of a proper word. anyways.
i am still working with N*U*H as a speech therapist facilitator. im attached to 6 hearing-impaired patients now. i attend their weekly sessions in the clinic and then do follow-up at their homes. yes im going tingtong managing my schedule these days. there are days when i wake up for subuh and my mind totally draw a blank. as in i cant figure out what/whose/where is the appointment for that day.
in addition to that, i just got/accepted a new job! same thing. an ST faci. in an Early Intervention Programme for Infants and young Children (EIPIC) Centre. despite the synonymous job title, my job scope is entirely different. at this centre i deal with clients (we dont use the term patients for them.mhm..) with many preconditions. amongst them are, developmental delays both mentally and physiologically or swallowing problems, learning disorders like ASD (austistic spectrum disorders), ADHD and dyslexia. so anyways, im thinking of doing it part-time cos i need time to do self-study but the manager offers me a really good deal. haha no, not in terms of pay, cos i have yet to discuss that with her. but she offers me to work at both of their EIPIC centres (Yew Tee and Admiralty). one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. its really awesome cos i’ll get to work with a bigger range of clientele! so yes, i still have to decide..and just about now, im so excited and thankful. Alhamdulillah.
and with all these, theres just one thing left im hoping to achieve in the near future. and that is of course getting a place in the 2011 master course. insyaAllah. registration opens next year may-july. hahh. cant wait!
